This Summer has been dry and warm for us. The Stream has not run, and new plants have needed watering. Many flowers have been long lasting and so insects have proliferated. The clouds of butterflies on the meadows were a joy- special mention of course to the Painted Ladies and Silver-washed Fritillaries.
Twittering flocks of Goldfinches rise and fall over the seeding Knapweed and the purple through to white Angellica stand tall.
